Today I increased my run by .5 mile and am up to 2.6 miles without having to stop to walk at all. I'm not too sure about Parker though, he's already deep into his nap! :)
This blog was created so we could share our experiences, stories and everything involved as we train for our very first triathlon!
The SheROX Danskin Triathlon Series New England race takes place on July 26th at Webster Lake (or Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg) in Webster, MA. We will be doing a .5 mile swim in the lake followed by a 12 mile bike ride and ending with a 3.1 mile run. We only have four months to train and will be truly pushing our bodies to the limit.
While completing the race is a personal goal for each of us, we have decided to use this opportunity to help others by raising money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Why We Chose to Fight Breast Cancer
We chose the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to support and honor those women who cannot do a triathlon because they are fighting or have lost the struggle to breast cancer. It is a disease we all know too well and one that seems to affect everyone in some way. We have seen loved ones suffer and have lost very special people to this horrible disease. This is for them.
